A beautiful combinations between Klezmer concert sounds and reading/acting parts of the talented writer "Shalom Aleichem"

The well-known Mesinke Quartet plays melancholic Doinas, exciting Bulgars and traditional Klezmer melodies from Eastern Europe. The concert will be accompanied by a literary homage to the Yiddish-speaking writer and satirist Scholem Alejchem (1859-1916), whom many of his contemporaries described as the "Jewish Mark Twain". Scholem Alejchem became famous especially with the musical "Anatevka" (Fiddler on the Roof).

The actor and author Christian Jungwirth entertains the audience with insights into the life, thinking and work of Sholem Alejchem - a performance full of profound humor and biting satire.
