American baritone Thomas Hampson and the Swiss Orchestra will perform Mahler’s “Wunderhorn” songs as well as “Trois Aquarelles” by the Geneva-based composer George Templeton Strong. Complemented by works by Schubert, Mendelssohn Bartholdy, and Joachim Raff of Schwyz, the concert weaves stories around the major themes of love, longing, nature, freedom, and transience.
